Primal Bond is made by LxA.Craphex & Korr, a two-person independent team based in Romania (EU). We decide what data the game collects and why, which under EU law makes us the data controller for everything described on this page.
Contact for anything privacy-related: lxaockham@gmail.com.
The game keeps a small amount of data on your device only. We never upload it:
Uninstalling the game removes all of it.
When the game crashes, freezes or hits an error, it sends a technical report to Sentry, our error-tracking provider, on EU servers (Germany).
A report contains: what went wrong (error type, message and the place in our code it came from); your device model and operating-system version; the game version; technical context such as available memory, language setting and which game modules were loaded; a short trail of the log lines just before the fault; and whether the session ended cleanly or crashed.
A report does not contain: your name, your email, your IP address, your chat messages, or screenshots of your screen. The error-reporting toolkit can optionally capture personal details, screenshots and a snapshot of your screen layout — we have deliberately switched all three off.
Sentry tags reports with a random installation identifier so we can tell "one device crashed twenty times" apart from "twenty devices crashed once". It isn't linked to you or to your display name.
Why we're allowed to do this: our legitimate interest in making a beta actually work. Honest limitation: the beta has no in-game switch to turn crash reports off — during testing they're our main way of finding faults. If that isn't acceptable to you, the honest answer is to sit this beta out; and you can email us at any time to have reports already collected from your device deleted.
Multiplayer runs on Unity Gaming Services (Unity Technologies), acting as our processor:
Unity's own handling is described in the Unity player privacy policy; Sentry's is at sentry.io/privacy.
Chat messages and map pings are relayed live between the players in your match. We do not store them — when the match ends, they're gone, and we have no chat history to read or hand over. Please don't share personal details in chat. You can mute a player (kept on your device) or report one (see below).
The in-game REPORT A BUG button opens your own mail app with a prefilled email to us: a space for your description, plus the game version, your device model, your OS version and the recent error log from your device. Reporting a player works the same way. Nothing is transmitted until you press send in your mail app, and you can edit or delete any of it first. Emails you send us sit in our inbox while we work through the issue.
primalbond.app is a set of plain static pages: no cookies, no trackers, no analytics and no third-party scripts or fonts. Our host (Cloudflare) processes ordinary web-server request data — IP address, browser type, page requested — to serve pages and block attacks.
The closed-beta portal saves your access code in your browser's local storage so you don't have to retype it. It never leaves your browser, and clearing your site data removes it.
The request form on the beta page asks for your name, email address, and which phone or tablet you'll play on, plus — entirely optional — your OS version, device model and a note. We use it to decide who joins the current wave, to send you your access code, and to know which devices we should be testing on.
Submitting the form sends those details to us as a single email. Nothing goes into a database — there's no server keeping a list of applicants. Your request lives in our inbox and nowhere else, and we delete it when you stop testing or when you ask us to. The form sets no cookies, and no third-party form service is involved.
Where the beta is distributed through Google Play, Google handles the download, the testing list and any Play account data under its own privacy policy.
If you're in the EU/EEA or the UK, the GDPR gives you the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to complain to a supervisory authority — in Romania that's the ANSPDCP. Email lxaockham@gmail.com and we'll answer within 30 days. We apply the same rights to everyone, wherever you live.
One honest caveat: because we deliberately don't collect names or accounts, we usually can't tell which crash report came from you. To find anything we may need something to match on — roughly when it happened and your device model. If we genuinely can't identify your data, we'll tell you so rather than guess.
Primal Bond isn't directed at young children, and the beta is invite-only. It's intended for players aged 13 or over — 16 or over in countries that set that age for data consent. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger; if you believe a child has sent us data, email us and we'll delete it.
A beta moves fast. If what we collect changes, we'll update this page and change the date at the top; anything significant will also be flagged in-game or in the beta notes.
